School Games Silver Mark Award

We have achieved the School Games Silver Mark Award for the 2017 / 2018 academic year.

We are delighted to announce that we have achieved the School Games Silver Mark Award for the 2017/18 academic year.

The School Games Mark is a Government led award scheme launched in 2012, facilitated by the Youth Sport Trust to reward schools for their commitment to the development of competition across their school and into the community, and we are delighted to have been recognised for our success.

Our sporting achievements this year include:

Tamworth Area District Sports Competition Winners (Large schools)

Year 4 Boys County Champions - Cross Country

Participation in a range of local area sporting competitions including boys and girls football, cross country, swimming and athletics.

Launching our Golden Mile physical intiative with all children across the school completing laps of our Golden Mile circuit to win awards

A range of in school 'house / team' competitions in handball, dodgeball, athletics and hockey.

We are extremely proud of our pupils for their dedication to all aspects of school sport, including those young volunteers, leaders and officials who made our competitions possible.

As part of our application, we were asked to fulfil criteria in the areas ofparticipation, competition, workforce and clubs, and we are pleased thatthe hard work of everyone at our school has been rewarded this year.

All staff who have run sports teams this year and organised our entry into competitions

Parents / carers for their help in transporting pupil to events and for their support
