Staggered Start and Finish Times - Update
10 September 2020 (by admin)
A reminder to Year 4 , Year 5 and Year 6 pupils who do not have siblings in lower years that they should aim to arrive at school no earlier than 8.55am
Our staggered start and finish times are generally working well and reducing congestion at the beginning and end of the school day.
Just a reminder that:
EYFS, Year 1, Year 2 and Year 3 pupils start school at 8.50am with the gate open to the playground at 8.40am.
Year 4, Year 5 and Year 6 pupils start school at 9.05am and unless they have siblings in lower years should aim to arrive at school no earlier than 8.55am.
Gates / doors are closed at 9.05am - any pupil who arrives after this will need to enter the school building at main reception.
Registers for all classes will close at 9.15am. Any pupil who arrives after this time will be marked as late.
Our staggered start has been very successful in allowing more pupils to arrive at school on time - in fact the number of late marks has reduced to almost zero since the start of term last week - many thanks for your support with this.
Currently EYFS, Year 1, Year 2 and Year 3 finish school at 3.00pm with Year 4, Year 5 and Year 6 pupils finishing at 3.15pm.
We are going to make a very slight alteration to our Year 4 finish time from Monday 14th September in order to see if we can further reduce congestion at the end of the school day. From Monday Year 4 pupils will finish at 3.10pm.
This is only a slight alteration but we feel it may just help to reduce congestion a little more both on the playground at at the main school exit.
