School Uniform / PE kit

A reminder about school uniform and PE kit

At the beginning of the school year we continued with our practise of allowing pupils to wear their PE kit to school.

This policy was overwhelmingly supported by parents / carers and has had a great positive impact:

1) it increases PE lesson time as there is no need to change into kit and back to uniform

2) it prevents items of clothing from being lost

3) and most importantly it increases pupil involvement in PE lessons and activities (no more "I've forgotten my kit" excuses!)

Can we remind parents / carers that our school PE kit is black shorts or joggers, a coloured house T shirt - either red (Mars),  blue (Jupiter), green (Saturn) or yellow (Venus) - and appropriate footwear - PE trainers.

Over this year we have noticed a dip in this aspect of uniform with few children wearing football shirts to school for PE lessons and other items of 'leisure wear' which do fit our PE policy.

Could we please ask that parents / carers support our PE policy and wear appropriate kit for lessons.

Many thanks.

(Just a reminder that KS2 pupils in Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 can wear PE kit into school tomorrow for their sessions with the Peel Road Runners running club).
