Swimming gala

Well done to our pupils who took part in the Tamworth schools swimming gala last week (and those who took part in the heats in the previous weeks). T

he competition was intense and their were memorable performances from all our pupils but particularly Tobias in Year 3 who won his event.

Rugby news

Mr Wiggett will be leading an after school rugby club for Y5 / Y6 pupils starting tomorrow (Thursday 25th April).

Parents / carers have already had a letter about this and the majority of consent / permission forms have been returned.

There is also an exciting opportunity for girls in Year 4 upwards to try rugby during the half term holiday on Friday 31st May between 8.30am 3.30pmat a rugby camp being run by Tamworth Rugby Club. For full details and how to book please click here.

There are also one hour taster sessions for girls interested in playing rugby taking place on Sundays at Tamworth Rugby Club during June from 11.00am. Again please see the link above for further information.

Athletics news

Well done to all those pupils who have taken part in Parkrun / Junior Parkrun events over the last few weeks.

Special mention to Jos in EYFS who has been running around the 2 kilometre Beacon Park Junior Parkrun course with her dad on Sundays over the last few weeks and who beat her fastest time last Sunday.

We are very excited that the Tamworth Schools KS2 Athletics Competition is back this year in June having not taken place since 2019. We have been very successful in this event in past years and will begin training for this year's track and field events very soon.
