Information regarding how parents / carers can support us to keep safe and well pupils who have allergies at our school.
As a school we want to minimise the risk of any child or member of staff suffering an allergic reaction.
An allergic reaction to nuts is the most common high risk allergy - and we do have pupils at our school diagnosed with this allergy.
Can we please therefore ask that parents / carers are aware of this when preparing packed lunches for pupils and ensure that they are 'nut free'.
Please keep us updated regarding any allergies that children may have.
According to research 20% of allergic reactions to food occur at school, so keeping us informed about children's needs can help prevent incidents.
