Be on time for school!

19 February 2024 (by admin)

A reminder about the importance of being on time for school.

Can we please remind all parents / carers of the importance of making sure their child arrives on time for school.

Arriving on time for school is so important as it enables all pupils in the school from EYFS to Year 6 to make the best possible start to their day and to ensure that they do not miss any learning.

Parents / carers are reminded that the school gate opens to pupils at 8.40am.

Children in all classes can enter school from this time to begin their learning in the classroom.

The gate closes at 8.55am.

Pupils who arrive after this time will need to enter school via the main entrance and may be issued with a late mark,

We have this 15-minute time period between 8.40am and 8.55am for children to arrive at school in order to try and avoid congestion around the school site.

The number of pupils arriving late continues to be an issue and we would be extremely grateful for parental support with  ensuring that children arrive at school by 8.55am ready to make a prompt start to their learning.
