Academy Conversion / Y2 Dodgeball / Y6 Tests

10 May 2024 (by admin)

An update on events in school including news regarding school joining the Community Academy Trust.

Academy Conversion

As parents / carers will be aware across the autumn term 2023 we consulted with all involved with the school regarding conversion to academy status and joining the Community Academy Trust.

Following this consultation we have been moving forward with the conversion process and are excited to be finally joining the trust on the 1st July 2024.

This is a really exciting time for our school as we move forward out of local authority control and into the Community Academy Trust.

Joining the trust will help us to continue doing what we do well and help as well as helping us to further improve.

Year 2 Dodgeball competition

Well done to our Year 2 pupils who competed in a dodgeball competition at The Rawlett School yesterday (Thursday 9th May).

The whole competition was played in a great atmosphere and all pupils taking part showed great sporting behaviour. They played really well and came out winners of the competition!

Well done to the whole team: Cordelia, Amalie, Olivia, Billy, Felix, Jack, Teddy and Rudy.

Thanks also to Mr Atkins for arranging for the pupils to take part and for those parents / carers who helped with transport.

Year 6 KS2 Tests

Next week our Year 6 pupils sit their end of KS2 tests (more commonly known as SATs). They have worked in preparation for these tests and we know they will do their very best. Good luck Year 6!
