As parents / carers will be aware after a lengthy consultation process, we have been moving forward with our conversion from a local authority school to an academy as part of a Multi Academy Trust.

We are excited to inform parents / carers that this will happen on 1st July 2024.

On this date Millfield Primary School will convert to an academy and join the Community Academies Trust.

The trust will replace the governing body / local authority in having oversight for the school. The trust is accountable to the government / Department for Education.

As parents / carers you will not notice any significant changes on the 1st July - the school name will remain the same, the school uniform will be the same and the same teachers will be in front of classes!

There will be many significant changes behind the scenes however, and Mrs Jarman in the school office has been working exceptionally hard with administration staff from the Community Academies Trust, to make sure that everything goes smoothly.

This is an exciting time for our school as we move forward and join the trust and look to improve our school to make it the very best that it can be.
